Although formerly a property owned by the Royal Family, the building is now used as an art gallery. In the past the building was owned by Prince Eugen, who passed away in 1947. The Prince was the brother of King Gustav V, as well as being a landscape painter. Prince Eugen’s extensive work is on view here, as well as temporary exhibitions by well known Swedish painters. In the past exhibitions by Anders Zorn and Isaac Grünewald have been shown here. The building is a great place to visit in summer when it is at its most beautiful.
