This church has a long and interesting history. It was founded in medieval times. The oldest parts of the church are believed to date from the twelfth century. In the century or so afterwards the church was gradually explanded. The tower was not added until the nineteenth century. Vassunda Church lies in the municipality of Knivsta, to the south of Uppsala.
