Part of the Royal Palace, these apartments take up two floors and were used originally by King Adolf Fredrik and Queen Lovisa Ulrika. There are some great tales linked with these rooms, including the fact that King Gustav had visiting aristocrats watch him wake up each morning they visited. There were also some huge parties and banquets held in the Karl XI Gallery, and the heads of state often stay in the guest apartments when visiting the Royal Family.
