This royal retreat is an amazing example of 18th century European neo-Classical design. The exterior of the pavilion building was created by Olof Tempelman, although his design was also complimented by the detailed instructions given to him by King Gustav III. The building is perhaps better known for its interiors, which were designed by Louis Masreliez and often-copied thereafter around Europe. One of the finest buildings in Sweden, it is all part of the Royal Palace experience and English guided tours are available.
Rating: 6.0
