This theatre is dedicated to the greatest of all of Sweden’s writers, the renowned August Strindberg. Strindberg is now regarded by many as the best of all Sweden’s writers, but in his own time was a fairly controversial figure. Due to this controversy, he found it difficult to get plays put on and so founded his own theatre. This gave his plays a chance to be seen and made them as popular as they are today. Although the theatre still puts on many Strindberg classics, it also has a more varied program which encompasses other plays by various authors. Rating: 6.0
