The bathing place at Strandängen is one of several popular spots on the banks of lake Ivösjön, the largest lake in Skåne. It is situated just to the south of the centre of Bromölla. The water here is particularly suitable for families with young children since it is very shallow. There is a place suitable for barbecues and a children’s playground here. The area is popular with windsurfers and has special facilities for disabled people. There is a campsite nearby that has a kiosk, tennis courts, a mini golf course and petanque courts.
