Built in the 13th century, Storkyrkan Church is the oldest congregational church in the city of Stockholm. The church is used for Royal coronations and marriages, and has many interesting features. The wooden statue of St George and the Dragon by Bernt Notke is a symbol of a victory over Denmark in 1471. There is also the Parhelion Painting which depicts a strange celestial phenomenon from the 16th century. There are guided tours on offer in English for those who want to know more about this beautiful and historical building.
