The Stockholm Transport Museum traces the development of public transport in the city from the horse drawn trams that began operating in 1877 right up to the underground metro of today. There are dozens of original vehicles on display here, all beautifully maintained. Children can even have a go at driving a tram themselves! It contains one of the most comprehensive collections of its kind in the country. The museum is located on Södermalm, to the south of the city centre.
