Stoby Church lies in a village just to the northeast of Hässleholm. The church dates back to the twelfth century, but has been substantially extended and rebuilt, notably in the seventeenth century, when the nave was increased in size, and the nineteenth, when the tower was added. The church contains some fascinating medieval frescoes. There are some fragments of Romanesque paintings, thought to be thirteenth century and a vaulted ceiling decorated by the "Everlöv Master" which depicts the nativity of Christ.
