The nave of Säby Church was built at the turn of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. During the next century or so a porch and sacristy were added. The church has never had a tower added, but the medieval bells ring here from a seperate belfry, constructed in the eighteenth century. The church contains a great deal of interesting inventory, including a font dated to the 1100s, making it older than the church itself. Much of the internal decoration is from the seventeenth century, and is very well preserved. The fine pulpit was completed in 1680.
