Royal Dramatic Theatre
Nybrogatan 2, Stockholm 11434 - Sweden

Map

Although not the largest theatre in Sweden, the Royal Dramatic is definitely the most respected in the arts community. This is the theatre where Greta Garbo performed before she made it big in Hollywood, and Ingmar Bergman also spent four years here directing plays before his retirement. In addition to the star names performing, some of the top names in Swedish design had a hand in the building’s interior. The sculpture is all by Carl Milles and the painting is by Carl Larsson, making it one of the most awe-inspiring buildings in the country.
