This is the number one art museum in the city of Stockholm and has a mixture of exhibitions from artists of differing styles. The exhibits literally cover hundreds of years of arts, and provide an eclectic look at the Swedish art scene. The Royal Academy was created in 1773 by King Gustav III, but moved to its current home in 1780. Nowadays the Academy shows more than art, and is also home to a wonderful bar and restaurant which are very popular with visitors.
