Pylonen is the museum of the Swedish Road Authority. It is located near to the town centre of Borlänge. The museum has displays of a large number of road building and maintenance vehicles from throughout the twentieth century. These include rollers crushers and snow ploughs. There is a permanent exhibition guiding the visitor through the development of highways. Temporary exhibitions are also mounted on various themes. The museum hosts archives and a library.
