Nordiska Museet (or The Nordic Museum) is the Swedish national museum of cultural history. It holds a collection of more than a million artefacts related to Swedish culture and traditions. At the museum, you can learn about the home and family, clothes, fashions and furnishings in the context of different classes of society over the past four centuries or so. The range of themed exhibitions include one on the everyday life of the Sami people and another on the life and works of celebrated playwright Strindberg. The museum has a shop, restaurant and library.
