Nor Church lies in an area that has been settled since ancient times, along the King’s road from Karlstad to Åmål. The church you see today was built in the late eighteenth century, and replaced a medieval church that had been here since at least the thirteenth century. The font is from the old church and dates back to this time. The church is found in the countryside to the west of Karlstad. It serves a congregation of the Swedish National (Lutheran) Church.
