This museum’s display area covers a total of around 1750 square metres. Much of what you can see here is the fruits of excavations on Helgeandsholmen during the late nineteen seventies. These extensive works made it possible to trace the development of medieval Stockholm from the thirteenth century onwards. More than eight hundred artefacts are on display, which come from the whole of the city area. There is a cafeteria here. The museum is currently housed in part of Kulturhuset in the heart of the city.
