The Museum of Ethnography contains thousands of items collected during centuries of Swedish seafaring from around the globe. This is the place to come to learn about the traditional cultures and social anthropology of far away lands, and especially the native Americans and the primitive peoples of Asia and Africa. Among the fascinating exhibits here is a huge totem pole made in Canada, which stands outside the entrance. A range of themed temporary exhibitions are mounted. The museum has a Japanese themed cafe, and a popular souvenir shop.
