Munktorp Church is seventy metres long, with a triple nave and high tower, making it one of the most impressive rural churches in Sweden. The oldest parts of the church, the so-called David church, dates back to the eleventh century. The church contains much fascinating inventory including a highly unusual medieval font beaten from bronze, an ancient southern door made of oak and the only ambo in the country incorporated into a pillar. There is an ancient carving of St. David. The church lies just outside the village of Munktorp, which is the east of Köping municipality.
