Kulturhuset, opened in 1974, attracts more than three million visitors a year. It is one of the focal points of cultural activity in Sweden, and hosts numerous exhibitions, events and performances. Whether your interests are in art, photography, design, music, theatre, or dance, you are likely to find something to interest you here. There is a major library which carries dozens of foreign newspapers. This is a good place to look for a souvenir of Swedish design. There are several restaurants and cafes in the building.
