One of Sweden’s largest moorland areas, the Komosse Nature Reserve straddles the border between Western Götland and Småland. It covers a total area of more than forty square kilometres. The reserve contains several small lakes and one large lake, called Björnsjön. The best time to visit is in late spring or autumn. The area is popular with walkers. The lakes support a rich and interesting bird population. The reserve lies some miles to the east of Ulricehamn.
