Högbergsgatan 15, 11826 Stockholm - Sweden

The Katarina Church is one of the major churches of Stockholm. It was built by royal decree in the seventeenth century. The church has a large dome, and four small towers. It is painted an attractive shade of pastel yellow, and is a familiar local landmark. Originally built to the design of architect Jean de la Vallee, it has twice been severel damaged by fire, on the last occasion in the nineteen nineties, when virtually everything inside was destroyed. It has now been restored to its former glory. It is widely noted as the place screen legend Greta Garbo was confirmed.
