The old metal works at Hylten was closed in 1974, but now the factory is a museum. You can take a guided tour, and see the old workshop, where many of the machines are more than a century old. The factory tour takes in the administative offices, preserved to show you what working life was like in the past. You can also see the working generator from 1898, and the warehouse where finished products were stored, along with examples of the wares produced here.
