The lovely scenic island of Hven lies in the Öresund between Sweden and Denmark. There is a regular ferry service from Landskrona. Hven (also spelt Ven) has many attractions and is popular with tourists. It is a very worthwhile day trip from the mainland. The island was once the research base of the celebrated astronomer Tycho Brahe, and there is a museum dedicated to his life and work here. It is a great place for walking, cycling and pony trekking. There is a golf course here. The medieval church of Sankt Ibb is the place from which you can get the most spectacular views.
