Hässleby Church

This church, which lies in the small town of Mariannelund, east of Eksjö, was built to the designs of F. W. Scholander, a leading nineteenth century architect. It contains a late medieval triptych, a sanctuary bell, and some bronze candlesticks, all retained from the old church that stood on this site. The altarpiece, from the nineteen twenties, contains for paintings by the renowned artist Waldemar Lorentzon.
