Hjortsberga Church was built as a replacement for two medieval churches that served the area. It was built in the late eighteen thirties. The altarpiece is a nineteenth century painting, by Uno Angerstein, which depicts the Resurrection of Christ. The church serves a congregation of the Swedish National (Lutheran) Church. It lies a few minutes drive to the east of Alvesta.
