Hedesunda Church is one of the oldest churches in the district. The church dates from the thirteenth century. The stone portal, which now serves as the main entrance, was carved at this time. The present exterior is largely unchanged since the eighteenth century. A restoration has uncovered frescoes painted in the sixteenth century. The church has a fine seventeenth century pulpit, and possesses many fine altarcloths, vestments and other textiles.
