Cornelis Vresswijk was a popular singer-songwriter, poet and actor in the tradition referred to by the Swedes as troubador. He emigrated to Sweden as a boy from the Netherlands, and has given Sweden many of its enduringly popular modern songs. The eccentric Vresswijk is mainly beloved by the Swedes, although his unconvential behaviour and material caused controversy in his lifetime. The museum details the history of his life, his works and his achievements. It is located near the centre of the city.
