Brattforsheden is a beautiful natural area that contains three smaller nature reserves, Lungälvsravinerna, Geijerdalsmossen and Kittelfältet. It contains many fascinating geological features formed during the last age including boulder ridges and ravines. It contains very rich and unusual plant life. The protected area lies about ten kilometres to the southwest of Filipstad, off the road that leads to Karlstad.
