The Bergius Botanical Gardens are a must for any nature lover visiting Stockholm. They have been established for more than a hundred years. Associated with the nearby university, the gardens are a major centre for academic research and education, but also provide a beautiful recreational experience for the general public. There is a greenhouse with a wide range of exotic plants, a Japanese garden that gives you a taste of the far east, as well as many beautiful plants, flowers and trees native to northern Europe. Guided tours of the gardens are available. There is a cafe here.
