Backa Manor House lies just outside the village of Nödinge, in Ale municipality to the north of Gothenburg. The traditional farming estate centres around a manor house now under the management of the local heritage society. Among the preserved buildings at the site is a crofter’s cottage that was built in the eighteenth century and a blacksmith’s workshop that contains a complete complement of original equipment.
