This church was built as a replacement for the old one that burnt down in 1959. It was consecrated in 1963. The church contains inventory from the older churches that had stood on this site. There are Renaissance paintings here dating from the early seventeenth century. There are also three church bells which were made in the same period. Aspeboda Church lies in a little village just to the west of Falun. It serves a Lutheran congregation.
