This church, which lies near the heart of Stockholm, was built in 1768. It is named after King Adolf Frederik, who founded it. Formed in the shape of a Greek Cross, the church is regarded as one of the finest examples of the much admired Gustavian style of architecture in the capital. The interior contains several items from the eighteenth century. The church is known as the burial place of the Prime Minister Olav Palme, who was murdered walking the streets in 1986.
